2019 marks the 86th edition of North America's most exciting long-distance rowing sports competition. The Saint-Maurice River, natural and unique in the world, challenges long-distance canoe, kayak and rabaska athletes during a three-stage event spanning nearly 200 km. The endurance event between La Tuque and Trois-Rivières offers one of the most spectacular portages in Shawinigan. The event takes place in an exciting atmosphere fed by thousands of supporters gathered for the occasion.
The Classique internationale de canots de la Mauricie also includes a wide variety of races, for athletes as well as amateurs. Since 2018, paddle board, kayak and outrigger competitions have been open to all.
Once again this year, the organizers promise exciting cultural and sports programming throughout the Labour Day weekend and all over the Mauricie region; free music shows, family zones, entertainment and webcasts.
Whether you are an athlete or a spectator, this is an event you will remember for a long time!
