Roulottes Beauparlant

picto cout picto enfant
  • The two legendary Beauparlant potato trailers, ancestors of the street food truck, have been part of downtown Shawinigan’s landscape since 1940! Their opening in mid-March announces the spring – same as the marmot 😊

  • Rumor has it that these are by far the best fries in the whole area! Ready to check? You will have to chose between the trailer upstream of 5th rue de la Pointe, (the one with the classic straight-cut fries “la patate drette”) or the 2nd trailer, which cooks wavy fries “la patate frisée”. As opinions are very divided, you will have no choice but to taste both! So? Are you #teamdrette or #teamfrisée?

  • To go with your fries, you will find the classic snacks. We love their meat poutine, with its spices reminiscent of holiday meat pies and their big Michigan, a hot dog with two sausages, served with fries and coleslaw on the bread.

  • Groupie, keep your eyes opened! Because many stars, performing at the Centre des arts, succumb to the call of the famous trailers…
LE COUP DE COEUR DE Émile

The opening of the 2 trailers on the 5e rue de la Pointe is a sign that spring is coming. Some prefer the straight ones, commonly called the “drettes”, others the curly ones, but I can't choose, I really like them both!
