Village du bûcheron Learn

Presentation

Guided tours of Lumberjack Village include shows where tales and songs transport visitors to the historical universe of Québec lumberjacks. The guides, both musicians and storytellers, take you on a journey through the history of the region. A visit to the Village du bûcheron is a fun and educational way to discover how the forest industry shaped the Mauricie and all of Québec.

We invite you to discover the great epic of the lumberjacks who built the country with their arms and their hands under extreme living conditions. Through reconstructions of typical 19th century camps, the village exhibits original tools and materials as witnesses of another era.

Check our website for tour times and information about the Village du bûcheron and Saint-Maurice River cruise on the Windigo package deal.
