- A stay at the lac à la Tortue is a true getaway to a small local resort (without a waterfront, but with a nice lakefront!). It’s a sweet little corner of paradise and a renowned vacation spot, where the atmosphere is constantly lulled by the lapping of the waves and the distant hum of the planes taking off and landing nearby.
- A large cottage with a breathtaking view of the lake, L’Aviateur offers 4 bedrooms with private bathrooms. On site, you will find a well-equipped kitchen, a large parking lot, a barbecue and a large terrace to admire the water. Danielle and Claude, the owners, are kind-hearted people, smiling and always available for visitors.
- If you’re feeling restless during your stay at L’Aviateur, go hiking or canoeing. And if you feel more relaxed, take advantage of the games available to visitors or opt for a dip in the outdoor spa (available from May to October). In winter, there are many other activities: walking on the lake, skating trails, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, etc. Ask the hosts for information on how to do all of this!
PSST! Ask the owners for a discount on seaplane flights offered by Bel-Air Aviation. It’s a chance to change your perspective and see the beauty of the region from the air. Lac à la Tortue is the oldest civilian seaplane base in Canada, after all!
