This is my favorite. Since the beginning, I am in love with this place and its owners. Lucie and Pierre are really nice people! The breakfasts are EXTRA and their desserts are divine. If you are on a bike, and you need to fill up your bottles, they will be happy to help you out!

The Marina Grand-Mère, its park and its observation tower: brand new to the Shawinigan’s scenery! I love this place. And, you know what? I used the observation tower’s stairs to do my endurance work-out. What a gratification when I have finished and I stay at the top to admire the Saint-Maurice River!

I am pious and I’m not ashamed of it. Every time I walk through the doors, this place makes me calm and serene. I collect myself for a few moments and it always makes me feel good! The colors of Ozias Leduc’s works soothe me enormously, it does me the greatest good.

I love this walkway where, whenever I’m walking, biking, running or on my motorcycle, I feel like I am away from home. It’s the most beautiful place in Shawi, in my opinion, where there is a gentle merger between nature and city. We come back again and again, and this, no matter the season!

Have I told you I’m a food lover? Well… The baguette, the rustic bread and the chocolate breads from this bakery are PERFECTION! So, you must stop there if you’re in the area! They also have a nice selection of fine cheeses. After all this exercise, you have to regain your strength, right?

Well, I know the last 2 years have been very hard for our cultural industry. So, I would like to highlight this venue as THE PLACE to attend a good show. I have a crush on this venue because it’s really close to my home. But, I assure you, if you get the chance to try it, you’ll want to go back.

Écogriffe is a MUST! I advise you to go to the store (Avenue St-Marc) or to one of the many retailers (like Tourisme Shawinigan or several local pharmacies) to get YOUR winter hat with or without YOUR recycled fur pompom. Buying local makes all the difference, so treat yourself!

The last but not the least. It’s always a delight. No matter what is on the slate, it just makes it harder to chose because I know everything is good! And the employees are just super nice!
