I stock up with salads, cheeses, bread and deli at Tous les jours dimanche, at the Marché public de Shawinigan and at Boucherie Nobert or I go to one of the Roulottes Beauparlant for some fast food. I enjoy my picnic in one of our many beautiful parks. My favorite parks are Parc de l’Île Melville – secteur des Chutes, Parc Saint-Maurice, the riverside in St-Jean-des-Piles or downtown. Pssst! I love the Olivia, a new restaurant in St-Jean-des-Piles, where we can also buy food to go!
When the falls are flowing at full capacity, mostly during the spring or in the fall, I bring friends and family to impress them 😉
Lac du Caribou’s beaches are my favorites. I like to lounge on one of the large fine white sand beaches of Lac du Caribou. Pssst! They are accessible by waterway.
When it’s raining between July and October, I recommend taking the microbrewery tour. You’d even be able to enjoy a bit of shopping in their boutique afterwards.
The beautiful river for its 1001 water and nautical sports. What a pleasure to enjoy the bodies of water near my home on my kayak or my paddle board.
My favorites at the national park are the Chutes Waber and for a good hike, I enjoy the Solitaire or Mékinac trails.
I’m in love with so many of them! My favorites are Zélé, Bistro Le 2800, Aux Goglus and 462 Tamarac. When I’m looking for good take-outs, I go to Santé Taouk.
Simply admiring the superb sunsets in Shawinigan. The best is to eat an ice cream on the Promenade du Saint-Maurice while admiring the sun go down behind the Cité de l’énergie.
