A park, which extends over 160 hectares, a real oasis in the heart of the city of Shawinigan! Along the Saint-Maurice River, it’s home to two islands (Melville Island and Banana Island), a 70-meter-high mountain and a large wooded forest. A perfect place to practice outdoor activities and enjoy all the amenities of the city (restaurants, bars, shops, shows) in less than 5 minutes by car.
Among the summer activities, you can walk in the trees with Arbraska, rent a watercraft (kayak, canoe, paddle board, rabaska, motorboat and pontoon), enjoy the marina, go mountain biking (12 km) or enjoy a bike ride on the green route.
The park also has 15 km of hiking trails. When the waters rise in SPRING, you’ll have the chance to see the famous Shawinigan Falls in all their intensity. With a height of 50 meters, they are barely 7 meters lower than the Niagara Falls!
As for accommodation, you will be spoiled for choice: camping, yurts, ready-to-camp or rooms at the inn. The park also offers reception, meeting or conference rooms for rent and a dump station for RVs.
