  • What makes this art gallery compelling is the welcome: visitors are greeted by one of the artists currently exhibiting, and you can talk directly with them about their work. Artists take turns staffing the gallery, with time slots shared among them. This approach is central to the gallery’s vision: offering a different way of connecting with the public by fostering direct dialogue with artists. The gallery aims to serve as a springboard, shining a light on original talents and high-quality artworks, each bringing a unique artistic perspective and technical mastery that lets visitors experience art from a new angle.

  • The gallery showcases a wide range of styles (from contemporary to abstract) and a mix of artists (amateurs, semi-professionals, and professionals). More than 300 works by about fifty painters are displayed—oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media—across five exhibition rooms. Ninety-five percent of the artists come from the Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec regions, and many pieces portray local themes and landscapes. You’ll find works highlighting, for example, the iconic Parc national de la Mauricie, the striking Cité de l’énergie, and the scenic Promenade du Saint-Maurice.

  • In addition to its regular exhibitions, Tuesday painters’ gatherings, the outdoor Symposium Champêtre, and the annual vernissage, the gallery also plans to host events that bring together art enthusiasts, reinforcing its role as a true cultural meeting place.

  • A library is also available to members and the public, offering on-site access to books filled with valuable information on both historical and contemporary art.
