This charming neo-Romanesque church, built in 1924 and now a National Historic Site of Canada, houses the last major project of painter Ozias Leduc, which he began in 1942 at the age of 77! A leading figure in sacred art in Canada, nicknamed the Michelangelo of Quebec, Leduc devoted the last 13 years of his life to this fascinating work.

You can admire fifteen large paintings by Leduc, remarkable for blending secular scenes with sacred subjects. We recommend the interactive audio guide visit with a tablet and headphones, featuring Gabrielle Messier, Leduc’s assistant, who reveals the secrets of this great painter as she guides you through the site.
