Giant wooden spools installed under the trees where you can always enjoy a little shade on hot summer days. A wide choice of draft beers is always available and it’s even possible to leave with a can of your favorite!
A note for the nostalgics: the vegetable soup and the beetroot cake taste like memories. It reminds me of what my parents used to cook when I was a kid. Pure happiness.
Everything is delicious there. Take-out meals (celeriac salad!!!) and pickles in jars. There’re several flavors of shortbread available: orange, lemon, almond. My favorites are apricot.
Do you also like repertory films? On Mondays and Thursdays afternoons and evenings, it’s possible to watch some movies more difficult to access. Go see their programming – you’ll discover a different movie every week. You’ll certainly find something to your liking.
In Shawi, we’re lucky. We are lucky to have several easily accessible places to go cross-country skiing. This one is really my favorite spot, with the river that follows us along the path. Winding and a bit physical, the trail is paved and is just as pleasant all year round, on foot, by bike or on skates. If you go early, you can also observe the early morning fishermen.
You have to taste Paris-Brest. But while you’re at it, try a bit of everything, you’ll have too much trouble choosing anyway. It’s also the perfect place to get the galette des rois. But their Paris-Brest!!!!
Open in the summer, you can go to the snack bar to get a beer in a pot and a hot dog to take home or to drink in the alley specially designed and set up for summer! You can even eat your lunch on the riverbank across the street.
