If you like to enjoy sceneries on your road bike, make sure to go through the coeur villageois de Sainte-Flore and the coeur villageois de Saint-Jean-des-Piles. As a bonus, you will be spoiled of choices for your energy break with Le Café Bucolique, Le Petit Canot and 2800 du Parc.
Whether it’s to walk, to run or to frolicking, this parc is really nice, no matter the season! You won’t believe your eyes or ears, especially in spring. You’ll discover that the Trou du diable (devil’s hole) is not just beer! Put that on your list!
It’s beautiful! Its good! It’s welcoming, entertaining and the view is spectacular. Morning-noon-evening, alone, as a couple or with friends, all the reasons are good to stop and linger! Psst! They have plenty of board games on the mezzanine. It’s perfect for rainy or “stormy” Sundays.
What a great way to keep your child’s heart. Stop by Nobert Boucherie Fine, Pâtisserie Le Palais, the Marché public de Shawinigan or Tous les jours dimanche to stock up on groceries and enjoy the beach, close to the marina in St-Jean-des Piles. Don’t forget your briquets if you want to enjoy charcoal BBQs.
This is one of my favorite activities, especially in the summer! On a paddle board on the Lac-des-Piles, it’s spectacular! Bring your headlamp, it’s worth enjoying the show until the end! P.S. you can launch at Baie Martin or at the marina.
You, the foodie who likes to hang out and try new things with your friends, and chose to come in Shawinigan for a few days: GOOD PICK! Let me be your personal guide and suggest my favorites in order to make your stay memorable.
